AGC 2022 Chapter Communicators Summit

AGC of America and the AGC Kansas City Chapter are hosting the first-ever Chapter Communicators Summit. The summit will include two half-days of programming on a host of key topics, including more effective ways to keep members informed, how to take full advantage of social media, how to best leverage a variety of communication channels and dealing with crisis communications challenges, like strikes.

 

DATES: Wednesday, Aug. 24, 12 p.m. - Thursday, Aug. 25, 1:30 p.m. (see agenda outline here)

LOCATION: Kansas City, Mo.

FEE$100 per person

 

WHAT DOES MY FEE INCLUDE:

 Professional development presentations and collaborative working sessions

Meals from lunch on day one through lunch on day two

Transportation to dinner (if staying at the host hotel)

Hotel

Flights to/from Kansas City

Transportation to/from the hotel upon arrival/departure

 

HOTEL UPDATE: The room block at the host hotel, Ambassador Hotel, is full. However, attendees can still book a discounted rate of $204 by making reservations online at Marriott.com and sending the name on the reservation to Jessica Criss. The hotel will then change the rate on their backend. Attendees also have the option to book their stay at nearby Hotel Phillips. This property is just 0.3 miles away from the host hotel.

GUESTS: Guests are welcome to attend lunch and dinner on Wednesday, Aug. 24., as well as lunch on Aug. 25. If you would like your guest to join us for meals, the guest rate is $50.00. Please let Jessica Criss know by Aug. 12 if your guest would like to opt-in.

THURS. ACTIVITY: You and your guest are invited to an optional activity on Thursday, Aug. 25. We’re excited to show you a little of what Kansas City has to offer, including the uncontested best view in town at the WWI Memorial. The cost to join the Thursday afternoon activity is $55/per person. For that price, your ticket includes:

  • Admission to the WWI Museum and Liberty Memorial Tower, plus admission to the special exhibition Black Citizenship in the Age of Jim Crow.
  • Drinks and hors d’oeuvres at Union Station after.
