Construction drawings represent a large portion of the construction documents necessary to build any structure, which is why it is important to know how to interpret them. This lunch and learn will emphasize the development of print reading skills in order to understand common and new construction techniques in building commercial projects.The following basics of reading commercial construction drawings will be covered:
- Orthographic projection
- Types of prints - civil, architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical
- Plan views and elevations
- Sections and details
- Material schedules
- Measuring tools and scales
- Common lines and symbols
